Lynn's Lovely Looney Life ( With Cancer)

Well, I haven't posted for a LOONNG while and now, I'm posting for a different reason. Not only to record my life, but also my life while I'm fighting FOR IT.. fighting cancer.
It upsets me that I didn't keep up with my blog while I was a little more able. I am now on chemo treatments and everything they tell you about chemo-brain is true. You just feel like your brain is in the lowest gear possible and then some. For instance when I type, its like my fingers respond words behind where my thoughts are...could make for some interesting editing! LOL
I am going to try to keep up with this blog as best I can. During the chemo days, I may skip a few weeks and hopefully, i will then jump back in!
One thing I DO know for sure. Whether the Lord and the chemo help me stop this cancer and put me in remission, or whether this is what the Lord is going to use to take me to my eternal Home, I'm a winner either way.
Before I close, the type of cancer I have is kind of confusing. For those that know me, you know that I never do things the simple or most usual way..but always the least expected way.. If something is in the 1 to 5 % ...to happen.. that would probably be me! If I didn't laugh about this.. I would cry..so its better to laugh! LOL
I was diagnosed with bladder cancer in Dec. 2003. So I battled with it with different types of treatments in the bladder by catheter..until we found one that was finally working!! Praise the Lord! And I went into a 4 year remission! I went for my last 6 month recheck and if it was all clear, I would be going to annual cystoscopies and rechecks instead of the 6 month ones! Well, that appt. was in December ( 2010)..and the doctor saw a new tumor. This would start a whole new adventure in Cancerland. He had also had me get a IVP xray series to make sure it hadn't spread anywhere else in the urinary tract. Well, it had. I now had cancer in my left ureter ...all over it..and possibly in the kidney pelvis also. After having my left kidney and ureter, and ovary and lymph nodes removed on Feb. 23rd, we found out that the cancer in the ureter had gone into the fatty layer where it could have metastisized.. UGH.. AND on top of that, there was also a smallish non-invasive tumor in the kidney pelvis..But this makes my cancer one of the rarer ones ( TOLD YOU!!!)..so they wanted me to have aggressive chemo, because there is a 50% chance it will spread. Ok.. more to come..
